Hearing Aid Technology

Hearing aids are incredibly advanced and have features that can make your hearing experience more seamless. At Wesson Hearing Aid Center, we carry state-of-the-art hearing technology that includes Bluetooth connectivity, rechargeability, and even artificial intelligence. With these features, you can connect your hearing aids to your favorite smart devices and stream phone calls, music, and other audio. Many Bluetooth hearing aids are also rechargeable. With rechargeable instruments, you won’t have to change batteries anymore, instead you simply place your devices in their charging station at night, and in the morning, you’ll have fully charged hearing aids!

No matter the features you are looking for in hearing technology, we have something for you.

Hearing Aids at Wesson Hearing Aid Center

Over-the-counter (OTC) hearing aids are now available for purchase at major retailers. It’s important to understand the difference between OTC devices and the hearing aids we carry at our hearing center.

OTC hearing aids are self-fit hearing aids designed for adults with a non-complex mild to moderate hearing loss in both ears. When you purchase OTC hearing aids from a retail store, you won’t receive on-going care or adjustment services to ensure the devices are properly fit to your unique needs.

The hearing aids at Wesson Hearing Aid Center are prescription and professionally fine-tuned to fit your specific hearing needs based off the results of your audiogram. The hearing aids we carry are suitable for all degrees of hearing loss, all activity levels, and people of all ages. When you receive hearing aids from our hearing clinic, you won’t just receive a hearing aid. You’ll receive on-going care, adjustments, cleanings, and support.

Whether you are interested in a hearing aid from our practice or an OTC device, the first step is to have your hearing checked so you can choose the best path for your needs. Contact us today to schedule your appointment.

Developed with this in mind, the new Oticon OwnTM is a fully customized in-the-ear hearing aid that works more like your brain because it learned through experience.* Built using Oticon BrainHearingTM technology and designed for discreetness, Oticon OwnTM offers you a truly personalized listening experience. By providing access to important sounds around you, you’ll be free to do the things you love.

Additional features include:

Hearing Aid Accessories

Depending on the level of hearing technology you have and how severe your hearing loss is, a hearing aid accessory can help you hear even better in complex environments. The most common type of assistive devices are hearing aid compatible cell phone accessories. These can be connected to your phone to allow the streaming of phone calls and other audio. These types of devices can also prevent annoying feedback or distortion that may occur when hearing aid wearers talk on the phone. If you are interested in a hearing aid accessory for even better hearing, contact us today.
