Whenever your hearing is exposed to loud, or underwater conditions, Wesson has the most innovative product for hearing protection.
With hearing protection, users are given an extra layer of assurance against dangerous environmental noise. Although they are not meant to be a hearing aid replacement, some models feature sound enhancements. Wesson Hearing Aid Center can provide both hearing aids and hearing protection for clients that need it. They’re an optional add on that makes sense when dealing with personal or professional situations.
Custom earmolds and earplugs
Custom earmolds are made for in-ear devices to enhance comfort and functions. It individualizes hardware components so that wearers get the best version of it. Custom earmolds are not interchangeable between wearers and will only have a benefit for the original owner.
Earplugs can come in generic or custom variants. Just like custom earmolds, a custom earplug is made specifically for the wearer. Because of the way the plug sits in the canal, an exact fit is necessary for the best experience. Using generic earplugs allows water and air to still enter the canal when in use. With custom versions, outside and inside interference is limited.
Musicians’ earplugs and monitors
Having the right ear for music means taking hearing protection seriously. For musicians, that starts with earplugs made specifically for the profession. The built-in hardware normalizes the highs and lows without sacrificing the quality of the track. This separates musicians’ earplugs from normal earplugs that block out all sound. Earplugs with features are made as an enhancement to sound unless they specifically work to block out noise like sleep plugs.
When outside of the studio, musicians can swap out the earplugs for in-ear monitors. During a live performance, being surrounded by loud instruments is a jarring experience for professionals. Doing this multiple times a year takes a toll on hearing, and ultimately leads to serious problems without protection. With in-ear monitors, musicians can hear the music correctly without it being overpowering. In-ear monitors are the standard in the industry and have long since replaced wedges.
Exposure to sustained loud noises will negatively impact hearing in the long-term. This is one of the leading causes of hearing loss. To prevent hearing damage from dangerous levels of noise, specialized protection is required. Whether in earplug or earmuff form, they both serve the same function. Some professions make it mandatory to wear hearing protection while on the clock. Products in the earplug category come in different styles, with features that are specific to the profession or hobby they are used for. Earmuffs are usually a professional tool that comes with a hard requirement from the job
